New guidelines from the Resuscitation Council (UK) were released on 28th November 2005.

In light of the latest clinical research, there are major changes to the way we now have to resuscitate victims from out of hospital cardiac arrest/collapse.

Major training providers, including the Red Cross, St Johns and St Andrews Ambulance, have announced they will not be implementing these changes until August 2006.

Wye First Aid Training is pleased to announce that it will be teaching the new techniques from 1st January 2006.

First Aid Certificates are normally valid for three years. Anyone attending training in 2006 with a provider not yet using the new procedures will find that their staff have out of date skills until they attend a refresher course in 2009, unless employers pay for them to attend an additional course.
